Ashley Joy Beck is an experienced theatrical makeup designer and teacher. In 2009 she worked her first job with Cirque du Soleil doing makeup on the staff members for the openning night of Kooza's Santa Monica Pier show. That job lead to additional promotional events with the international Cirque company. In 2012 she went to Cirque du Soleil headquarters in Montreal for a unique "Makeup Bootcamp" created by the makeup team at Cirque to train her in creative stage makeup. In 2016 she was asked to teach the designs created by Nathalie Gagne (Cirque's head makeup designer) for Princess Cruises new Steven Schwartz show "Magic to Do". In 2018 Princess asked her to design the makeups for their newest Schwartz Broadway level musical "The Secret Silk". She has developed an effective way to design and teach using educational "paint by number" written instructions with photos to accompany each step and makes additional tutorial videos for theatrical makeup designs.

His first musical for Princess Cruises will celebrate Schwartz’s lifelong fascination with magic.
